Over the past year of the pandemic I have gotten into woodworking and joined a wood-workshop as a way to broaden my skillset.

I have always been very interesting in Toy & Packaging Design and wanted to find a way to combine these into one handmade, sustainable product: This is how The Dolfing Box was born.

A 3-part toy that is both a wooden toy block set, a puzzle, and a framed art piece all in one!

I have designed, cut, painted and build the entire thing by hand, and I'm incredibly proud of how far I've come as a first-time-woodworker! I spend several months designing, drawing, planning and eventually sawing my wooden toy puzzle design. Determined to learn as many different techniques as possible, I also created a self-contained frame that doubled as the box/packaging for the puzzle, learning to drill, sand, paint, and engrave the wood.
