ABOUT THE ARTIST
Annemarieke Kloosterhof is a multi-disciplinary designer based in East London. Originally from a small village in The Netherlands, she moved to London in 2011 to study at Central Saint Martins, where she graduated with a BA Hons. Graphic Design & Communication, specialising in “Illustration”, before starting her art practice.
A lover of colour, composition and texture, Annemarieke enjoys creating anything hand-made: From 2D collages & illustrations, to 3D miniatures & large scale paper installations.
Experimentation is the key driving force behind her work, and inspiration takes shape through themes of Culture, Language, Sociology, Psychology, Architecture and Science.
Annemarieke’s work has been published in magazines, newspapers and online, as well as galleries & solo exhibitions... and she often works as specialist paper-craft prop maker & set designer for high end Film/TV.
Though her portfolio is diverse, all her projects have 1 thing in common… an incredibly high level of detail & craftsmanship!
